Week 8

Puppies were weighed prior to their worming today. The rate of 200g per week is slowing now as puppies are burning up energy running everywhere. At the playful stage, finding a game in anything they see. Lots of chasing each other, chewing and pretending. They are self-weaning from Lilly with all lapping water and milk. Food is offered three times a day from now until they go to their forever homes on Saturday. The last meal will be offered on Friday evening and puppies will be travelling on an empty stomach so as to avoid upset tummies on the journey. We will be stopping every few hours for relief stops. We hope to keep pretty much to the times indicated at meeting points. I will text if we are delayed for any reason. Only six sleeps to go!! Please let me know if you have any further questions about Saturday.

Suzie’s Litter 2015

There is an update on this litter on the Suzie’s Litter 2015 page. People on the waiting list for this litter should read this page!!

Vet Checks

If you have not had a phone call from me tonight, then your little puppy has passed the health check and there is nothing untoward to report about his/her condition. The puppy folders are being finalized this weekend with the litter blanket, documentation and puppy information.

Week 7

The vet checks and vaccinations are being put back to next Friday 8th May. I had planned for this week however, the Vet that I usually see was away so I have rescheduled. Micro-chipping has been completed.  Photos below and video link on recent posts. Hopefully the weather will be clear by then. Toilet training is going along well with all puppies going to the paper or using the doggy door to go outside. Puppies are running fast now, so videos will be like a flash. Hopefully I can put some identifying fabric on the girls so that you can tell them apart. They do look alike but I have some key identifying white markings that set them apart. However, when videoing these markings are not obvious !!

Week 6

Puppies are into everything this week. Exploring has no boundaries and they are off and racing. However, it doesn’t take long before they tire themselves and looking for a soft warm place to nap.

Week 5

Oh, what time wasters these puppies are now. They are active, exploring, playing and falling asleep in our arms. So adorable and time just disappears when we are with them. Over the weekend we have had friends stay with us and they too were so drawn to their developing personalities. Hope you enjoy the latest photos.

Week 4: Up and away

Th puppy weigh in is on the table below (in week 3). This week is time for their second worming by oral suspension based on puppy weight. The first of the YouTube videos has been posted. You can find them under Recent Posts on the far right of the screen. You will notice that the puppies have received their first bath and shampoo. They are looking gorgeous in their fluffy clean coats. Also this week, they are on the grass and in the sunshine.

The puppies are moving around more freely this week and on the move, exploring and having a little more awake time with their eyes searching out new things.

Identify the puppy from the fabric!!

Week 3: Easter Photos

The puppies have received lots of cuddles this week with our family staying with us over Easter. This week, puppies are just starting to get up on their shaking legs and move off the nest to relieve themselves. This is their first initiation into toilet training where they learn to move away from their sleeping area to relieve. They actually move to the same area by smell. Paper and cardboard is used to help educate the puppies to move away from the nest. All puppies have been observed to do this.

Puppies are looking around and listening more to our voices. However, most of the time they are either feeding or sleeping.

The Girls

IMG_7001 IMG_6997 IMG_6993 IMG_7003

Lilly is testimony to having a healthy, happy country life-style where regular exercise has been beneficial in producing such a litter.

Lilly is a smaller than average King Charles Cavalier and the sire of the pups is Wildee a toy pure bred poodle whose coat is curly and is of a dark apricot colouring.

Just a reminder to all families that have received the purchasing process document and have responded over the last few months, need to contact me again, now that the litter has arrived.

The pups’ gender has now been sorted. We are announcing that there are 8 puppies. One of the small female puppies was too premature to suckle effectively and only lived 3 days. This is always an issue with larger litters.

There are four males and four females. There are 4 dark red and 4 more of a lighter tan colour.

A short list will be constructed in the next two weeks based on your preferences.
