Cavoodle Puppies - direct from breeder, socialised, handled and cuddledtj

This litter is the mating of Lilly (purebred blenheim King Charles Cavalier) with Wildee (purebred apricot toy poodle).

Lilly has whelped five female puppies on 21st September, 2013.

Cavoodles have a soft low-shedding coat of a chesnut/ruby colour with varying white markings. These puppies will be go to their new forever homes vaccinated, fully Vet checked, micro-chipped and regularly wormed every 2 weeks. Our puppies have been raised in our family home. Each pup will come with its own puppy folder including the documentation of the details mentioned, general guidance on raising a puppy, dietary advice, follow up details on worming etc and a part of the litter blanket.

Puppies will be ready from 23rd November, 2013.

A weight chart has been prepared and is on the home page of the blog. This chart shows each pup's weight on a weekly basis.

Litter photos can be found on the recent posts on the blog.

Week 3 - update

Puppies are just getting up and around on their feet. This week they have had an introduction to soft meat to supplement their mother's milk. They are awake a little more but still sleeping most of the day. Cuddles and belly rubs are enjoyed by all.

Puppies are moving off the nest to relieve themselves and are more active in the whelping box. The trap door is now closed so that they can explore the full area of the box. Lilly navigates her way in via 2 chairs. The first photos taken inside for this week and the other was taken outside about 4.30 in the afternoon.

Week 4 - update

Puppies are nearly breaking into a run. Tails are in the air and they are enjoying moving and exploring. Sleeping less and playing more this week. They are playing with each other and working out the routine of supplements in the morning, snack at lunch and a top up of fresh mince or rabbit at night. An update will be on the blog in the next few weeks of what they have been eating and what can be on hand for their arrival in another four weeks.

Photos taken inside our house with their toys this week. All new owners should have received a folio of week 4 photos via email. They are at a good age now, enjoying cuddles, play and a little run around.

Week 5 - update

This week puppies are spending more time awake and exploring the garden and beyond. Puppies are still looking to Lilly for a top of milk but are becoming more dependent on their supplements. Puppies are being feed small amounts four times a day. They are lapping water, chewing on bones and eating a quantity of fresh and cooked chicken, beef mince and rabbit. Of course, they are particularly fond of soft fresh meat but in addition they are enjoying finely chopped chicken necks which add a different texture to their diet. Play is becoming more of a pastime this week. They are responding well to my "puppy, puppy" call and come dashing out to greet me. At this age, it is hard not to spend time with them as they are so engaging, bright eyed and lovable.

Photos taken late in the afternoon, outside and with unfortunately some shadows. However, the sunshine does help enhance the rich colours of their coats.

Week 6 - update

Puppies have had their photo taken inside a little house outside in the garden this week. They are getting harder to photograph as they are constantly running and playing. Micro-chipping was completed on Friday and this coming Friday they are going to the Vet for their vaccinations and full health check.

Week 7 - update

As reported on the blog, all puppies have passed their Vet check and have received their vaccination. This week puppies have been extremely active, running and playing until they drop. Another bath and worming took place on Saturday, so puppies will receive one more worming (every second week) before going to the new homes. Not long to go now, with only one more photo session (next weekend) to go. Videos for the week can be accessed via the blog.
